We are starting our second full week school. We are continuing to work on routines and procedures. The students are doing really well switching classes. Many students have said they think it makes the day seem like it goes by fast. Notebooks have arrived so the students will begin using them this week. This should really help with organization and keeping up with assignments and homework. Ms. Estrada, Ms. Davis and I have decided that the students may bring a snack to school each day. My fourth graders will eat their snack while they are in their second academic block of the day which is Reading with Ms. Davis. Please make sure your child brings healthy snacks and no peanut butter please. We have a student in the school with a severe peanut allergy. Snacks need to be low sugar. Acceptable snacks include such things as the following: cheezits, goldfish, wheat thins, grapes, apples, bananas, cereal or fruit bars, snack mix, pretzels, etc. Make sure the snack is easy to eat and doesn't require a utensil. Friday, we kicked off our Otis Spunkmeyer cookie dough fundraiser. The classroom that has the highest total sales will win an ice cream and cookie party. I am very competitive and really want to win this! Besides cookies and ice cream are two of my favorite things.
